Auras similar to that. I have until 6:24 to sleep on a school morning. At 6:25 there is a small whine just to test me. If I'm awake then she gets told to STFU. If not she grabs her bone/antler or whatever else I gave her to occupy her and starts beating it off the bars of the crate. It's important to NOT open my eyes at this point but usually I swear at her (not a morning person) so she lies down and chews noisily still "accidentally hitting it off he crate bars. If one of the other dogs moves she thinks we're going out and starts to bark.

On the weekend/ if I'm sick she just whines softly until I open my eyes and then starts her whole routine lol.

Hahaha yeah, free all night produces a bored, wandering, pouncing dog.

The tie down worked somewhat. No clanking but she was up and down off the be all night and when not there she was engaging Backup in wrestling matches at the end of their leashes at the foot of the bed.

This morning however... Poor Shamoo. Lol

Then there is the brain surgeon of the family, Backup. How did he tie and tangle himself? No idea but I literally had to untie him this morning. Dope. Otherwise he stayed pretty quiet and calm most of the night. Go figure.

LOL, poor Backup!! He looks so sad! Mu and Tipper sleep on tie down in our room - we put eye bolts into the walls and hooked up 4 foot leashes so they have room to move around but can't get to each other. I don't know if that would work for you but thought I'd throw it out there.

Thanks lol that's our next step probably. Tonight's trial run involved two leashes tied to opposing legs of the bedframe. Sloan had a regular 6 ft training leash and backup had an old horse lead, maybe he needs something shorter. Haha

Funny enough I took that photo at about 6 am when I finally rolled out of bed, at 530-545 he was wrestling with Sloan across the room. He's a strangely talented dog.

I'd put one of these in my back yard for Sloan if he were my dog. LOL!

As it is, my two Chi's probably feel like you when I wake up in the morning. I toss and turn and get up, turn on the coffee, go back to bed, get up, take my thyroid pill, go back to bed for 5 minutes, get up....etc. And all the while, those poor things are trying to get their beauty sleep. They say, "come on....will ya? Stop all this activity!" lol.

Okay, night 2 went even better. Only one or two play session and it stopped with a "no, go to your bed and lay down!"

I guess it's true every dog has their day because backup is much better at this than Sloan (a first!) but she's coming along. Hahaha

Tomorrow our new mattress comes and hopefully I can start waking up not half dead. That'll be cool.
