Default English Setters?

Anyone know anything about them, work with them, etc?

I grew up with an English Setter that we used for field work. she was absolutely amazing. totally focused in the field, and a total pad of butter everywhere else.
other than Lady, I've met a few, all working dogs. they all had roughly the same temperament.
I've heard the breed is seriously declined in numbers these days, though.

I knew several when I worked in boarding kennels. Their people love them. They are relatively mild mannered, biddable, and are good around strangers, but are a bit reserved. Just happy dogs in general.
