How are they the same? Different? Has anybody here met one?

All I know is West Laikas are more common, East Laikas are rarer. I know a few West Laikas but no Easties! I've heard that ESL's are more of a hunting dog, and highly aggressive toward large animals. This dog is badass (ESL)...
"Sup bear?"

purely second hand from the russian guy in VA that breeds WSLs, but the WSL is smaller & more of a tree dog w/ a small game background (sable, squirrel, & lynx). the ESL is bigger w/ a background of hunting big "ground" game like brown bear, moose & tiger. the WSL should also have some stock working ability from the reindeer work done w/ some.
