I don't really think this is "Tiny" either... It qualifies by the under 1000 guideline but with the partially finished basement we'll end up with its actually going to have more room than our current 1300 or so sq foot house, the current house has no basement because the raised basement is finished as a separate 3 bedroom home, so to me the new house will actually feel roomier with just the two of us....

I love that Jenn and Matt and the baby will be staying in the current house, as well as my MIL on the other level, it's awesome to have my "freedom" but also have my family just across the road!

Yeah, if the main floor is 900 something sq ft and additionally you have the basement plus on top of the garage, that will be pretty big...if it's a full basement. The house I had in Idaho was 924 sq ft but it was just me for the most part. My son lived there for a while too. I felt a little squished because I like more space, but it was easy to heat and take care of. I had a big shop/garage that I could store certain things in. I also think you're being sensible to stay well within your means.

I grew up in a 3 bedroom 1 and half bath house, that was around 1000 sq. ft. (give or take some) so for me that is a perfectly normal sized house lol...

I cant wait to see and hear about the progress as you go along
