I saw strange black and white pictures behind my eyelids once during one, I dont' know why. Had a bunch, noisy but no big deal. I have a small tumor on my pituatary gland that is not growing, they did them to check every few months. It was just annoying to because of the noise, the rest was easy. Gone with and without contrast.

Beanie, that sounds like a good idea...just to listen to something on the radio. I'm more concerned what the matter is than the inconvenience of the actual MRI. Hopefully, it was simply the dehydration. But I know my Mom has been severely dehydrated twice (she NEVER drinks water) and she didn't have her bp go that low. But she was taken to the hospital, actually one time in a helicopter.

Wow Bigpoodle...two strokes. I take it they were mild. (?) How scary for you. I hope all is fine now. It is so often genetic. My Mom had a mild stroke that caused very minor damage it seems, though she had some. But she's had many, many TIA's, which showed up on tests. She's never smoked, never been over weight and has eaten her veggies all her life. lol. So, good heavens! It hardly matters what you do.

Linda, I made the appointment. It's for this Fri....all the way back down to Seattle, (about 40miles) which is a pain but I want to use that same hospital where I went to the ER. Luckily it's after rush hour. lol. I'll wind up hanging out with my daughter again for the week end probably.

Oh Smkie, that had to be alarming. I'm glad everything seems to be okay now. That must be a wee bit unnerving to have that tumor! But it is good it is not growing...must be nothing. Good they keep checking on it though.

Thanks everyone for the vibes. I am such a whiny baby. I need all the attention and love I can get at times like these.

Thanks so much you sweet, little peeps.

Good luck! Hopefully it was just dehydration.

I've had an MRI of my head about a year ago to rule out neurological/brain tumor type stuff. It really wasn't bad. They did have the helmet style cage and ear muffs, but it didn't take very long at all. I'd say 15-20 minutes at the most. I think I waited in the waiting room twice as long as I was actually back there lol Unless they have to do contrast, which I think takes much longer. Hopefully it won't take too long for you!

Thanks Babyblue. Wow...you must have had a scare. I hope you're okay too. Yeah, this picture will be without contrast. I'm sure as heck remembering to drink lots of water because that darn dehydration can cause issues, like dying. lol. It's funny, I still feel awful draggy, weak and tired, but not dizzy. That could be the low thyroid. Those meds don't kick in for a couple weeks. But I didn't feel that way before...only after I found out I had low thyroid. Hmmm. go figure. LOL.

Sending good vibes that the MRI shows nothing wrong! I agree with all the others that something itching always happens and is most aggravating! Just remember Fri. before the MRI not to drink alot of water or itching won't be your only complaint!

Trouble is...I'm so paranoid about dehydration, that I will probably be all loaded up. But I'll use the restroom just before and I should be all right. I'm not one who has to go too terribly often...or rather, can hold out like a camel. haha.

Thanks Poodlesmom. The itching, I can will away I think...had lots of practice in my days of performing on stage.

It's weird, but I feel sort of crummy today...quite weak and bla, not dizzy per say, but kind of on the verge. I wonder if that's the thyroid thing. I didn't feel lousy before I found out I had low thyroid. Hmmm. They said if I feel dizzy or nauseous, to call the doc, but I really couldn't say I'm quite dizzy or nauseous. If I don't come back on Chaz for a long time, you'll know something's wrong. Arrrggg.
