Renee kiln help!
Renee, or anyone else who has any experiences with kilns. I am looking for a small electric kiln for beginners wanting to work with PMC. I would like to get a kiln with as many other uses as possible, too, so I have several options with it. Something like the Kitiki mini-kiln (although i can't figure out how "mini" that one is) but I can't a place to order one. I don't wanna spend a fortune. Around $200 or less, maybe. I just can't find a whole lot online in the way of kiln-shopping or maybe I am just searching wrong. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

The kiln itself isn't that expensive, it's the controllers that are though.
The one you're looking at should be adequate. If you can find a class, take it! PMC is expensive to make mistakes on. This one would give you more options, but it's going to run around $300 or so by the time you add the furniture it needs. http://blog.lorenaangulo.com/2012/02...ctricmini.html

I know nothing about kilns. I have had one PMC class but we just worked with the clay. We didn't get to see how the kiln works. I am starting to feel a little lost. Are all of those items listed necessary? Is there anything I can skip? I don't really know what most of that is. Kiln controls come separately? I don't understand. Is there a website that explains this? I get overwhelmed when i google "kiln".
