I read this last night, and it made me cry
 I couldn't think of any words to make you feel better, and I'm still at a loss.Run free, Rascal. I bet he's at the bridge playing with ALL of his ferret friends, and meeting up with the other Chaz ferrets who have passed. They're probably digging and nomming and having a blast together. Thanks guys <3 The kind words really do help.
I'm still taking it really hard. Every time I close my eyes, I see the terror in his eyes as he climbed my shirt for me to protect him... and I didn't. I let the mean lady hurt him more... and that's something I'll never forgive myself for. I'm angry at the world. I tried so hard to give him everything he could want, and I feel like I'm being punished cause I didn't do enough. I find myself feeling hatred towards other people who say their ferrets lived 10 years. *I* should have had the ferret living 10 years. I feel like I did something wrong, to make him not live that long, despite trying my best. I'm angry at myself.

This was (at least one of) the first events I went to with Rascal. Back when it was just him <3 My boy.
       I miss you, boo. I hope you know I did what I thought was the least painful for you... even if it meant it was the most painful for me.

Jess, I have seen Rascal and Renegade help you grow up so much. I think perhaps their work was done -- well done, and they left the way open for your next teachers <3
