I had to leave my cats behind with my mom when I moved. One of my cats has always been prone to being chunky. When I lived with him, I was able to keep him at a pretty decent weight because I adjusted his food intake regularly. My mom just blindly feeds them and isn't good about monitoring each cat so Rascal often eats extra I assume.
They have eaten Fromm Surf and Turf dry for years. They eat one kibble meal and one canned meal per day. I'm looking for a grain free kibble that has (a little) less protein/fat than the Fromm. The only one I found was Taste of the Wild Canyon River. They've eaten it before but I'm just not wild about Diamond products. Anyone have suggestions? I'd really like to stay grain free and feeding all canned isn't an option right now. The Surf & Turf is 34%/19% and the Canyon River is 32%/16%.

I feed the TOTW Canyon River as part of a mixture to my ferrets and I have nothing bad to say about it. That's the only grain free food I've fed (and can really afford to feed LOL), so I don't have any suggestions. I can only say I've been happy with it.

Natural Balance Alpha Cat (both formulas) is 35% protein and 12% fat. EVO Weight Management is 50% protein and 15% fat. I can't think of any that have both lower protein AND lower fat.
