More paw pods:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TY13BEc9mWU Excuse my Powerpuff Girls pajama pants... I was getting ready for bed... Ditched the clicker by the end for Auggie. I don't think it's helping him figure out what I want is for you to put one paw on each pod and then HOLD THE POSITION. We'll try without a clicker next time and see what happens.

Usually when I'm building duration I drop the clicker fairly quickly. I train implied stays with a lot of stuff and once I get the behavior on cue, then I'll delay the click a little bit more each time until I'm at about 10-15 seconds duration, at which point I replace the click with the release cue.
To me it looked like Auggie was still struggling with the concept, so in your place I likely wouldn't be looking to add duration much yet. How does he do if you space the pods further apart? If you use a solid surface vs a pod? Aeri did much better on her two paws up stuff when I switched to a more stable surface, so maybe Auggie might fare better if you teach the behavior on a solid surface first, then transition it to the pods?

I need to figure out how to get video from my mini camcorder onto my phone so I can upload some more vids.
Here's what I'm working on with my hooligans Bamm- Right now my main focus with him is his reactivity issues. We've been playing LAT out on walks and at home I've been clicking him whenever he just plain relaxes since he is always so on edge and anxious. It seems to be helping him a ton actually. As far as tricks. We are working on him retrieving to my hand so we can build up on him retrieving drinks from the fridge. We are also going to start a handstand and we're working on him weaving through cones pushing a soccer ball with his nose. Cricket- We are preparing to take her CGC test soon so we are working on perfecting our heels and sit/down stays. We've been practicing proper greetings with people and other dogs and reactions to friendly strangers. Recall work. Tricks- pushing a ball with her nose, bang/play dead, standing on hind legs which I'm hoping to shape to either hopping or walking on hind legs. We are also working on crawl right now. |

Heres a session I did with Quinn thismorning. After watching it back I relised I didn't plan it well enough and we probably didn't progress much other than building core strength. I don't want to over do it and make her sore either.
Next session we'll be working on her getting more vertical without the food lure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI0pp...=youtube_gdata |

She's looking good!
I am completely jealous of your ability to wear shorts and a t-shirt outside though.

That's pretty much were we've stalled out. I'm just working on him staying completely vertical, being able to hold it and get into the position fast to build the muscle and muscle memory. And working on raising his back legs up independently. I figure we do this for awhile and it will lead to the handstand. He already tries to get both back legs off the ground when away from a wall, just can't figure out how yet and when up on the board he will push forward off it a bit.

Hand Stand Progress
So here is were we are at. Not much different than last time, but cleaner, faster and stronger. PS: Forgot to turn the music off on my computer so yeah, low sound quality Mumford and Sons playing for you all

Hand Stand Against Wall
We have no open wall in our house so I had to do it outside but there was no hesitation at all with him! He got right to it. Pulled his feet off the wall a couple times too. He's such a good boy
