My brother has a lionhead mini lop cross. She is a very hormonals, territorial girl. She does not bite and is friendly, but does not seek your attention. She will follow you around the house though.

She hates Teagan and will grunt, growl and body slam Teagan. Loves Casey though. They are best buds.

SaraHound: I know! Oh well, I'm not fully ready for one yet. I'd like to have a job so I can afford any vet care.

HayleyMarie: I've heard that mini lops can be kind of grumpy. I never experienced this with mine, but he was a male, so maybe there's a difference? I know females in any animal tend to be a bit more 'bitchy' but not sure if it hold true with bunnies or not.

The general rule is Netherlands and Polish are the most aggressive, but just like in dog breeds, it depends on the individual and how its brought up. I personally have found mini lops to be the most affectionate, but it depends on their upbringing!

I never knew that! I always heard that Netherlands tended to be one of the more docile breeds. When I had them growing up, most of ours were really sweet except one. But like you said, I guess it depends on their upbringing. It's good to know that they're generally more aggressive though. I think I'll probably go with a mini lop when I get one.

I've had the same experience as you with mini lops though. Mine was sooo sweet, just like a little dog almost, he'd follow me everywhere and jump in my lap if I sat on the floor.

I think if Bun's was spayed it would make her alot more docile, but its too much of a risk for us to put her under.

Plus she has so much attitude and spunk. We like her cranky self She fits right in with the terriers.

I had many Californians, one New Zealand, and a couple Mini Rex over the years. The Mini Rex tended to make fabulous pets -- and their fur is so soft that it makes even other rabbits look harsh. Plus they are a nice size (for pets) and come in a wide array of colors...very fun

And our Mini Lops are your Holland Lops, while your Mini Lops are our Dwarf Lops. Our Silver Foxes are also your Silver Martens!
