I'm beginning to think he really might have Boston Terrier in him, after Dixie's APBT comment. You can't tell because of the coat, but his back legs have crazy muscle!

I had Rocky here at the apt today while my mom was at a dr's appointment. He was good, he just laid here. His MO, when he's uncomfortable, seems to be to just shut down and lay there and let life happen, poor guy. Miles the pom did what he always does when a dog comes over, he hid behind the couch and barked. lol

I had a Cairn Terrier when I was growing up. When I saw these pictures, my first thought was also Cairn mix. Something about that face.

Well, I was thinking Affenpinscher mix, so Brussels isn't so strange. Going with more popular breeds, I'd guess there's some Schnauzer in there. Something about his head has me thinking maybe some Boston Terrier, or even Pug. Except for the ears and color, I really don't see Scottie. [/QUOTE]

The ears are the only thing that makes me think boston. With as much coat as he's got, I'd say he's got something wirehaired on both sides because you usually end up with a middling amount of coat when crossing a wirehaired dog to a smooth. One or both parents could definitely be mixes though. It wouldn't surprise me with as much blending people have been doing with small dogs lately.

He's totally adorable! I love the expression on his face. He looks really happy to be with you guys.
