Altering female rabbits can be risky, but they have a high risk of cancer without spaying, and yet rabbits tend to be touchy with anesthesia so... And you have to really quiz vets on how many they have performed, what the outcomes were, etc.

She is a Lionhead, yes. Though she did not get much of the fur grown in which gives them the name.


It can be a risk to alter your rabbit, but I do say there is risk with any surgery. I've never had anything wrong happen with my rabbits or friends, thankfully.
