Default Interlaken and Mt. Cutler Trail

Interlaken is what is left of a resort that was run in the late 1800's and early 1900's. It's directly across the lake from the Mt. Elbert Power Plant (where my dad works) It's not accessible by vehicle, although you can get there by boat. It's three miles in and three miles out and worth every sweaty minute. I can't believe I've never been there before.

View from the lake (Twin Lakes).

That's Mt. Elbert, the tallest mountain in Colorado.

I have no idea what this used to be but I love seeing stuff like this. As does Max.

This is the house of the guy who ran Interlaken. They had to move it up from where it was when they put in the power plant. There are a bunch of people restoring it to the way it was in the 1860's. Coolest thing I've seen in a long while. That's my brother in the top window and random biker people sitting on the porch.
