Itty is gone
Lost our little Mini Poodle two weeks ago, just shy of his 13th bday. Started having trouble breathing, trip to the vet showed his lungs were full of fluid. Treated with medication and seemed to recover, hoped for 6 months to a year, however a week later it was back. The medicine would destroy his kidneys so at 2 in the morning, we took to the all night animal hospital where the vet revealed that his lungs were full again. Had him put to rest right then, will miss him, sweet little dog we had since he was two months old.

It hurts so much to let them go, but know that you did right by Itty and that all the love you gave each other was what makes a dog's life worth living.

RIP Itty--it sounds like he had a good full life with you--I'm sure he knew he was loved.

Awww...I'm so sorry for your loss. You definitely did the right thing by him, by not dragging this out longer. He didn't have to suffer much and he did have a good life with loving people. I know that doesn't really help much. I know how devestating it is to lose a family member like this, that you've had for so long. I hope in time, you'll feel better and remember... 2 months to 13 years is a good long shared life, I am glad you have had that time together. Not one word of that makes it any easier to lose someone you have lived a lifetime with. I am very sorry for your loss.
