Default World's Most Expensive Dog

He's gorgeous!

1 million for 'world's most expensive dog' - Telegraph

The price is outrageous . .. but he's still a gorgeous dog!

He is the best looking Tibetan Mastiff I've ever seen. What an AMAZING color!

Yah. Thats an expensive dog. Apparently in China owning a TM is a status symbol that you have lots of money and are high up in the social circle.

Still I find it sad that the person who bought it saw it as an investment that they hope to repay in a few years through studding him out. Would be nice if he were going to be a house pet at the same time, but I didn't get that impression at all

He's gorgeous but it seems scary for a breed like this to become a fad breed. I love TM's but they look like a lot of dog!

The tibetan mastiff breeder I'm looking at a puppy from has dogs from the same lines as the black and tan one that went for something like $40k a few years ago. It's crazy, but from what I understand the national breed research/conservancy center these dogs come from could really use the money for funding.

I also hear that in China there is really not breeding base or guidlines like breeding for health and standard. Like doing health testing before breeding ect ect...
