Ok. So this is a former foster dog, Samson, that ended up having to be PTS as he just couldn't get past some inner demon. He wanted to love and be loved. He was like glue to me. But he just had issues that came from a deep, dark place.

And I'm not a good picture-taker, but I loved this picture I got of him and I actually have it framed on my bookshelf.

But these eyes. His eyes were gold with gold flecks. They were amazing. And these eyes remind me every day that it's never "not worth it".

Miakoda's eyes. People often thought she looked "mean" because of her eyes. While they gave her a serious look, I knew that underneath that look was a heart of gold.

I don't think Miakoda's eyes make her look mean. I think she looks serious and stoic.

So... I've been trying to take a picture that highlights Sierra's eyes, but her big pointy nose keeps getting in the way. I know I have an AMAZING shot somewhere, I might just find that one instead.
