Default Petsmart Today

Ugh. So Petsmart is having their huge sale, so I went by to have a look, not thinking about the fact that it is, of course, Saturday.
Saturday, meaning there is a what? Adoption drive. *sigh*
I made up my mind not to look, and was diligently ignoring the animals there, until, standing in the aisle with the balls, a lady came walking through with a Chinese Crested. He was a puppy mill rescue, about seven years old, and his name when he came to them was "307". Freaking ridiculous. He was a NUMBER. They've renamed him Einstein, because of his hair (OMG LOL)
He was so torn up and sad looking. She said he had just come to the rescue a couple of days before, and wasn't up for adoption just yet, but they were working on socialization. Doom and Bobsie were actually nice to him instead of being standoffish like they usually are, and he was shy, but very sweet. I gave him a treat from my clicker pouch and he was very gentle.
It was a good thing he was not allowed to be adopted TODAY. I want to call my landlord and see if we could throw down another pet deposit and have him here, there is a two dog limit, but everyone knows that money talks, right? Jon said he was OK with it when I talked to him earlier, and financially we are fine for it (This month has been a bit more expensive than usual what with car problems and just moving but not too awful, we just have to be careful until next paycheck, and by then Einstein will be adoptable).
There was just something about him, and I can't get him off of my brain. I bought the rescue a bag of food before I left, to go to his foster home, and a sweater for him, because the lady who was walking him said he was doing nothing but shivering all the time, but it just doesn't feel like enough. This dog has my heartstrings pulled so tight I can't think straight. He isn't up on the rescue's site yet, but will be soon.
Someone kick my butt out of this???

Sounds like you already made up your mind. I hope the conversation with your landlord goes well.
