What should a good adult dog diet consist of?
What about incorporating bits and pieces of cooked chicken, raw carrot, some cheese into his diet? Anything else I could add? How much of the human food should I give him? and what about treats for training/rewards

Nothing wrong with incorporating good "human" food into your dog's diet. Most of us do! Just make sure that if you're feeding kibble or canned food it's a GOOD one, not something from the grocery store or Walmart.
