RIP Bear and Sass
One of my very good friends lost both her dog and her horse on the same day
 Bear, her Australian Shepherd, got cancer. He was the absolute best dog there ever was. She rescued him, and in turn he turned out to be as good a cowdog as ever. He saved my friend's husband when he was in a field fire, as well as performed the daily duties of rounding up the horses and cattle. Sass died in a freak accident. She touched the electric fence, freaked out, flipped, and ended up impaling her heart through a fence post. She was one of my friend's lesson horses (she runs a boarding stable/teaches riding lessons.) She was in her 20's, and she will be missed. Please keep my friend in your thoughts. I can't imagine what she's going through, to lose two of her best friends in one day.

That is so sad. Life can be so unfair at times. Please let her know how sorry we are for the loss of her two loving animals.
