One Year
Its been a year today that I helped Emma cross the bridge. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. There was no warning. Sometimes I question my decision, but I think it was for the best.
It still hurts so much. Its like a burning hole in my chest, that will never go away. I just wanted to take a moment to publicly remember my heart dog, who in her 4 1/2 years on this earth stood by me and helped me through some of the worst years of my life. For that I am thankfull. What a beautiful picture. I'm so sorry you lost her so young. I lost my heart dog so young too and though the memories are sweet and we can hold onto those, that bitterness of the loss, that empty place never completely leaves, does it. (((hugs)))
