Thank you everybody for your comments. I have actually discussed them with my mother this afternoon because, well she never wanted a dog to start with and any problem Blondie causes will be redirected to me, without doubt. But she understands that it wasn't his fault (Saje, I know he was horribly mis-named, but Blondie's a male... It's the translation of the word "Guerito" in Spanish which means Little Blond and we wanted to give him an English name... Infamous one we picked, poor thing). Around here it's not a problem, people don't realize it's a girl's name

Anyway... Yes I live with my parents, sister and grandmother. They all love Blondie to death but we were a little worried about his agressive behavior. Yes Renee I know it was actually torture to him, and Dad was hinting that maybe the kids hurt him while playing. You know how kids are. I guess we'll never know, but we'll take action next time those kids, or any kid, comes around. Thank you all very much for the valuable advice, I'll make people respect him from today on! Who cares if I'm the "bad guy".

He did OK today, of course he looked more tired than usual, took more naps and barked a lot more at passing people than he does on a normal day. Luckily, my parents understood why he acted that way yesterday and didn't resent anything. I'm still scared of his reaction next time he sees those kids (hopefully not soon!!!) and I surely don't want him to react the same way towards other kids.

Finally, I'm posting a pic for you to see poor Blondie's "torturers" haha. See how she's trying to get hold of him, and he's trying to escape? Poor baby

I'm so relieved that you're getting some support from your family. I thought I remembered that you'd had to overcome some resistance from your family. Maybe if there is a repeat of the visit you won't have to be the only bad guy - someone else in your family might back you up. At least now you don't have to worry so much about them taking the kids' side instead of Blondie's. Poor little guy. He looks so desperate in that photo.

I don't know exactly what it is, but don't trust the girl, especially don't ever let her be alone with Blondie, no matter what, even if you have to keep him with you every minute if she comes again.

Sorry, Blondie, you cute little boy. In Chile they called me La Rubia for the blonde. They also called me La Gringa Linda and La Negra (as a joke).

There is something about the way that girl is holding him, isn't there. Poor pup. I'm glad you're dealing with him.

Yes Saje there are many words to say Blond like Rubio/a, Guero/a but in Costa Rica we use the word machito or machita -it means male in other countries, but here it means blond So we wanted to name him Machito but it would have meant Little Blond OR Little Male and that was so _not_ cool haha. So Blondie he became Spanish is such a complex language I guess haha.

Yes I know, about the way she's holding him, it's because she ALWAYS wanted to hold him, because Blond's just too sweet and he'd come running and stand on his hind legs, while putting his little arms on me.. He does that to stretch, to hug or for me to pick him up, and I guess since she's a little pest, got jealous and wanted to carry him herself all of the time, insisted on it, no matter how many times I told her not to do that!!

He's doing better, playful and affectionate like normal. We might take him for a car ride later today, maybe he'll get _more_ stressed or just enjoy the ride!

I agree to all of the above. Poor Blondie, heck I would pee near the tredmill too.
I think the only way is to have the house rules gone over when visitors come. I just let them know "hey it is for everyones saftey and comfort. What if my dog came to your house and broke things, chased the kids and such?" If people cannot get it then they lose the privlage of visiting the home and pets.
Snoop says boo to all the rude kids and parents out there.
FYI I have a younger kid and belive me the first lesson in the house is respect for all. I find that has worked for the most part. Also Snoop loves to go to school with us and the other kids enjoy him but if anyone gets close to being rude mama steps in. Would be ashame if Snoop started to hate the kids because of one or two clueless kids.
Kisses to Blondie
ciao

Ciao greentiger! Parli italiano? I've actually taken Blondie to school and the first time he was playful and happy, he was like 3 months old, but the second time he was 7 months old and he barked at every kid because they freak him out! Running and screaming kids make him very nervous, one little kid put her fingers in his eyes because they are green and she liked them Of course I had to step in and tell her that she shouldn't do that to puppies because they don't like that, but she kept bugging him and that's why he barked at her. We didn't take him to school anymore because we were afraid of him biting some kid. I guess he's not very lucky with kids! Poor thing.
