Default Aggression, triggered by child ?

My name is Kelli and I have two dogs. A fourteen year old female Australian Shepard and a two year old female australian shepard husky mix. We have to keep them seperated often. I can be home with the dogs all day and have no problems. But if my son 9 gets off the bus and walks in the door they will go at it.
This morning before school I let the dogs out in the yard. He got scared and went to call the older dog to come in the younger dog jumped infront of the older dog as if to block her from going in then took her paw and pawed at the older dog the older dog gave a quick growl and the younger dog got her by the neck. I have had to break them up at least five times it is getting harder and the younger dog does not want to let go. When I do get them apart the older dog is very scared looking but I have to almost skake the younger dog out of it. She has her eyes shut and her front teeth are almost chattering she is bitting so fast. How can I control this and solve this problem.
Thank you

To me this sounds like "resource guarding", we went through it with our youngest yorkie and old man yorkie. There are lots of threads on here in regards to resource guarding that I would advise reading. If you want to know what route we took you can private message me and I'll talk to you more about it. There are several trainers on this forum and I'm sure one of them can get you going in the right direction. I myself consulted a few trainers/behaviourists and chose which option I felt would work best for our circumstances. Good luck and hang in there, things in our house have been great since July.
