Lily isn't eating

Ok, we brought Lily home yesterday and on the drive home we offered her some food (which she refused I think mainly because she was carsick). Now this morning I offered her the food from the breeder and a small amount of our food and she refused that too. She did drink a lot of water though, and ate like a bite or two of food. She was suppose to go to the vets today but I had to reschedule because I'm sick so she's going tomorrow. Should I try mixing in some canned food with her next meal or just offer her the food "as is"? She's a three month old standard poodle, by the way.

I was told to mix with some can food or add a little water to the dry food if my puppy wouldn't eat when I got him home. Luckily he was a greedy little boy so I didn't have to. Good luck.

Hand feed her a bit at first, I'm sure she will eat when she's hungry. It took Boris and Tips a few days before they ate their food.

We mixed it with water to begin with and that really didn't work, I'll try canned with her next meal. We tried feeding her by hand and she really doesn't want to take the food from our hand I don't know if it's maybe because she's nervous still or what. I'm sure she'll eat eventually.

The thing is, if you feed her canned to make her eat, she will still not eat the kibbles. She will eat when she's hungry I'm sure.

Give her a couple of days to get acclimated, Julie. Remember, her whole life has just been turned upside down! She has no idea how good her life is going to be yet, all she knows is everything and everyone she was familiar with and attached to is suddenly gone . . .

I know, I'm just sort of worried cuz she just a little baby. I don't want her to lose too much weight. Shelby wouldn't eat barely anything for weeks but she was older though. I guess we'll just keep waiting.
