my pit bull had that after ALOT of use, she is almost hairless in places...are you maybe using it too long? If not, then yeah, I bet its to big or small or som'thing.

One of the harnesses we have has sleeves of fun fur that go under Corky's legs. I'll bet you could add some fabric on your harness.
