Nyx is very dog reactive.
I am hoping to get some people in the area who have calm(ish) dogs to work with us. Basic click to calm type stuff, starting at a distance where she's not over her threshold. What I'm wondering is... We live on 16 very private acres. Would it be OK to have other dogs come here? Or would I be better off taking her to their home? Or would I be better off meeting someplace neutral, but risk having too many uncontrolled variables? I haven't seen any indication that she would be territorial, although she hasn't been in a position to really find out. But being on 16 acres, there's property that's away from her immediate daily area of the house and yard.

I think it depends on your dog. Dekka is better meeting dogs at home, Snip on the other hand LOVES all dogs as long as they aren't in his home.

I would say try it in the area that you'll get the least reaction....which is sounds like may be a neutral/public place?
![]() som'times they shock you...he may just think the new dog at his house is a playmate

I agree with Dekka, it depends on the dog. Sorry I can't be more help!
Good luck with Nyx! |
