Hungry Bear

In the middle of a forest, a hunter was suddenly confronted with a huge,
mean bear. In all his fearful trembling, the hunter's attempt to shoot the
bear was, not unsurprisingly, unsucccessful. He dropped the gun, spun
around and began to run as fast as he could with the bear in hot pursuit.

Before long, he ended up at the edge of a very steep cliff. His hopes were
dim and his future bleak. Suddenly, he threw up his arms to the heavens,
dropped to his knees and shouted, "Oh God! Please give this bear some
religion!"

Suddenly, there was a clash of thunder and the bear stopped just a few feet
short of the hunter. The bear looked heavenward, and said, "Thank you,
Lord, for the food I am about to receive..."
