My Dad's GSD-rescue smiles/laughs for sure and has a habbit of dropping her fetch toy (which she'll carry when out playing) on the walk back to the car for the ride home.
She'll get slower and slower then drop her toy and come to a halt... and "laugh" when spoken to about it!!! Check this out:

Chloe, my Corgi has a big smile on her face all of the time, and she does make a funny sounds sometimes when she is smiling at me. Hmmmm...maybe she is laughing.
