I'll try the pumpkin thing but I guess I'm going to have to take him to the vet so they can show me what to do. This stinks!! Literally

Yup, they are none too pleasant at all.



Fun fact about anal glands: it's thought that canids, at one time, could spray the contents of the sacs much like a skunk does. Eventually they lost that ability (thank god) and it just became a marking of territory type of thing, which is why they're expressed during BM. In domestic dogs they're worthless except for smelling up the joint (though technically a good thing for identification of dogs with one another) and getting ruptured.

You guys were right. It was his glands and I will have to express them whenever I see that it's bothering him. Not looking forward to it!! At least it's nothing life threatening

I guess , nothing to worry , this is pretty usuall in dogs , keep a check on its anal glands.
