Busy Buddy toys?

Who uses these? I'm considering ordering a few for the furkids for Christmas but wanted to get a bit of feedback before I ordered any.

Do your dogs like them? Are they hard to keep clean?

I HIGHLY recommend the tug-a-jug. If I could only choose one of my treat dispensing toys, that would be it. Forget the Kong, give me the tug-a-jug. When I knew AllieMackie was getting a BC the first thing I did was go out and buy her a tug-a-jug.

We also have the twist n treat which keeps Auggie entertained for shorter periods of time... but the twist n treat we can use for his kibble but the kibble is really small and falls out of the tug-a-jug too easily, and treats go better with the tug-a-jug but not as well with the twist n treat.

I have both of these toys (natch, Beanie got me the jug and another friend got me the twist n treat) and Finnegan ADORES them.

Finn will play with his tug-a-jug for a good half hour a day, and I can put kibble in it OVER his daily ration because he rarely gets out more than a half cup in that half hour. The bottle-plunger dispensing mechanism is genius. He loves the noises it makes and will sometimes just shake it about like a rattle.

The twist n treat, Beanie gave a good review of. Still a great treat/food dispenser, but Finn can empty one filled with his kibble in five minutes or less. He still enjoys it - I'll give him some of his breakfast in it and he gets excited when I get the twist n treat out.

BTW, I think I can count on my hands how many times Finn has had meals in bowls. :P

I love the tug-a-jug but Juno hates it lol. It's actually been a while since I've used it so maybe it'd go over better now... but she'd just get so frustrated with the thing, if food wasn't pouring out of the jug she'd just look at it and whine. I probably should just leave her to figure it out, but the whining would get so annoying so I'd just empty the rest into a bowl.

It makes a good toy for fetch though, and she loves carrying it around empty.

I LOOOVE the whole line. Toys I've tried personally:

Squirrel Dude - an improved version of the Kong. Just dry kibble lasts about 15 mins, stuffed and frozen it can last up to 90 minutes!

Twist n Treat - great toy for stuffing as well; filling lasts a nice length of time, similar to SD. Not as durable, though - some dogs will rough up the edges.

Waggle - one of Maggie's top favorite toys ever. Even after having hers for well over 2 years she still takes a good 30 minutes to empty it of biscuit pieces vs. the 10 that most toys last her. Very durable - Kes loved to try and kill it but hasn't made a dent.

Kibble Nibble - sturdy treatball, but fairly easy to empty. Easy to fill, so great for meals for fast eaters.

Tug a Jug - very difficult to empty. Can be dangerous to walls and breakables if your dog enjoys shaking his toys. The rope (both rubber and cotton versions) can be easily chewed up so this is a supervised use toy imo. Some dogs find it too challenging.

Bristle Bone - very different from the other BB toys. This bone encourages tooth cleaning chewing through the use of rawhide or cornstarch rings sandwiched between nylabone ends and bristled disks. Quite durable and long lasting for most dogs - ends are worn down at about the same rate as nylabones in our house.

Football - one of Z's regular toys. Not too difficult, not too easy.

Biscuit Block - a more challenging version of the Football, so it's a favorite of Maggie's but Z gives up on it. Technically a puppy toy but I got the size larger than recommended for the pups' sizes and it's held up quite well.
