Performance Content ~
Quote:
Pembroke Welsh Corgis were developed to be the all-round farm dog, capable of performing a myriad of tasks with an easy-to-care-for coat and needing minimal amounts of food to boot (despite what they would like us to believe!) As such, the breed is well suited for performing the full range of AKC activities open to it: obedience, tracking, herding, and agility. We know they would also do retriever work, lure course, go-to-ground, and so on, but AKC restricts those activities to the breeds that were historically developed to do them.

Another possibility would be to find earthdog fun days that are open to letting alien mixes participate.

Lol, I think my mini border collie (ie- the black and white one) would love to do that. She tried to go down a drainage pipe the other day.

I'm going to try building a "tunnel" and I'll see if I can get him interested... It should be fun to try!

Laur... you can send her up this way, and I'll make a ratter out of her! LOL. oh... my agility instructor just got a pap pup! He's soooooo cute!

Default Just sent in entries

I just sent in entries for the newest member of our canine family...a mini wirehair dachshund we got from a kill shelter. We entered Intro to Quarry because neither one of us has done earthdog before. We've only had him for a month and he's an awesome little dog!

It should be quite the change from herding/agility/obedience trials. If it's as much fun as I think it will be I'll be building tunnels and buying a rat.
