Watch that he doesn't rub it too much. When Smudge managed to get cedar oil in his eyes and they swelled shut it would have been a fairly easy fix to flush them out. Only he started to rub them. Caused trauma induced uveitus and then he was prescribed too many drops which caused a trip to an ophthalmologist.. and in the end it was a $740 vet bill I didn't need, but least his vision is still fine. I worried about that.

His eye is fully open now and doesnt seem to irritate him but it is still kinda red. I am taking him in at our earliest opportunity.

Im sorry but i would find a new vet! If they wont get you in till Wed. for an eye problem then either they dont have a knowledgeable person on the phone, or they just arnt good vets. Vets know how soon eye problems can turn bad. We try and get eye problems in the same day, or at least early the next. Not 4 days later! Im glad the eye is doing better.
