Fillyone, I would not expect them to change for the worse, and I would be perfectly happy with good ratings.

If this litter conforms to the current statistical averages for Rottweilers I could expect 1 or 2 not to get a normal hip rating, and 3-4 not to get a normal elbow rating.

The good news is that all puppies are sound, never had any growing limpies or gimpies, and show no signs of issues approaching 2 years of age.

It will be very interesting to see how the cards finally fall in a few months.

Red - It always is. You and I had a conversation some time ago about the elbows - Dante is DJD-1 in one elbow (no prelim didn't think of having them prelim'd just hips). I had him x-rayed again at 3 years old and there was no change at all in the elbow, and he's never taken a bad step

I remember that you helped ease my mind when I got that OFA report back and was freaked out!!!

You know? In my 30+ odd years of having Rottweiler's I have Never had one with bad hips. (knocks on wood quickly) I have had other issues, but not hips. Mine were all but one, rescues too. I am feeling lucky right now.
I am hoping for another 30 years with Rotties and hopefully I can say the same thing then.
