My mother makes me so mad......regarding my dogs....Any advice

My pets are my children too. My father-in-law has only visited once because after not enjoying being in a home with 2 dogs & 2 cats, we now have 5 dogs and 2 cats. We talk all the time, but I've given up on the idea of him visiting. I think some things in life we can't change and sometimes have to learn to accept.
