I have been toying with the idea of another dog for a while now. If we brought a third dog in I think it would be better for everyone if it was a pup. This will not be for another few *years* understand, but I was thinking about the logistics of it.
When we got Jack DH and I worked full time but were on different shifts. Now we both work days, 8 am-4 pm--we only get a 20 minute lunch and can't even go sit in our cars much less go home. My goal would be to get a part time employment or work somewhere close where I can come home for lunch. If that were not possible though, would hiring someone to come in mid-day to let them out be reasonable for a pup? What did you full timers do when you had puppies?

I hired someone to come in twice a day when Rowdy was a pup. When he hit about 6 months I started just coming home for lunch. It worked well for us.

i am lucky in that i am home for lunch for an hour every day. i also have the flexibility to take steve with me if there's a risk that i might not be able to come home.
