Help!

I can't get my signature up. I have it on Photobucket, and saved on my flash, and neither one will take.
It is the correct size (100x250), but every time I try to save it, I get an "Invalid file" message. Thoughts?
Please speak in small, simple words, as my computer skills are somewhat pitiful.

What do you mean when you say when you try to "save it?"

What type of file is it?

Example: picture.jpg, picture.png, picture.gif, etc..

Sorry for the delay, I have to use the library computers.

When I say save, I mean when I go into signature and put the file in the box requested, it goes through and then it asks you to save or preview signature. Either one I click, it tells me the file is invalid.
It is a jpg file, the one Baxter'smybaby made.

All i ever get is a red box. I have tried everything...that goes for putting pics in the posts too. IF you get it to work maybe you can teach me.

Sorry for all the questions but I need super specifics to help you. =>
Are you typing in the large box where it reads "Edit Signature?" If so, what are you typing there?
Or are you down at the bottom where it says "Upload Signature Picture?" Are you using Option 1, or Option 2? What are you inputting into the box?

And... are you clicking "Upload" before you click "Save signature" or "preview signature?"

Photo tutorial time! I will walk you through two methods of uploading signature photos using photobucket. Hopefully it works for you.

Step 1:

Go to the Edit Signature section in your User CP.


Step 2:

Open your photobucket account and locate your signature image. Roll your mouse over it and a box full of links will show up.



Method 1, IMG code:

Step 1:

Locate the IMG code in that drop down box and copy the link.


Step 2:

In the text space in your Edit Signature window, paste the link you just copied. It should look like so:


Step 3:

Click "Preview Signature" at the bottom of the page. If it works, click "Save Signature" and you're good to go.


Method 2, Direct link:

Step 1:

Locate the Direct Link code in the drop down box in photobucket and copy the link:



Step 2:

In the Edit Signature window, locate the "option 1" box and paste the link you just copied:


Step 3:

Click "Preview Signature". If it works, save!
