Default Portraits of all my pets

The walls in our house have been very bare since we moved here, so Jon (Muju) and I decided to take some photos of the pets and frame them to hang up. We spent last weekend taking photos, then got prints made during the week, and viola! Our walls are less boring, and we look slightly more like the crazy pet people. LOL!

There are going to be a lot of pictures here, so hold tight!

First, here are the finalists... the pictures that made it up onto our walls.

Morgan (the background is very bright, but I am still very happy with his expression)

Ticheli (my favorite photo of the whole shoot!)

Whitacre (awwwwwwwwwww!)

Toots (my brother's cat, but she lives here so she gets a portrait, too)

Novinha (the photo almost looks pixelated, but she is really just that curly)

Teller (I really like the way this one turned out)

Fiyero (He wasn't too happy with the camera, but we still got a nice photo out of it!)

Elphaba (don't let this innocent face fool you... lol!)

Glinda (this captures her true personality very well)

Next: Photos up on the wall, plus the runner-up photos, and a handful of fun ones that didn't work out so well.

Here is what our stairwell looks like now that we have the portraits up on the wall:

Ticheli, Whitacre, Morgan, and the four sugar gliders

Novi and Toots get the shelf at the top of the stairs

Looking at the wall from the upstairs hallway

Having pictures on the walls REALLY makes a big difference in the way the house feels when I walk up the stairs. I love it!

And now... the rest of the photos! Some are serious, and some are fun.

Morgan

I like his eyes in this one

This was at the very end... he was bored with me. Lol!

Ticheli

Another nice pose

We were using a feather lure to pose him, and many of the "outtakes" look kinda like this

3... 2... 1...

BLAST OFF!!

Toots

Only one extra of Toots. She was not being very cooperative during the photo shoot... as this demonstrates

Whitacre

I love his head-tilt!

I don't know what it is about this picture, but I really like it. A lot. (That is Jon AKA Muju, BTW.)

Another neat picture, looking out the window

Novinha

Only one extra of Novi as well, since many of her photos ended up looking very similar. She is just so sweet...

Teller

Many of Teller's also looked similar, too... Here he is looking curious.

Fiyero

He is just too adorable for words...

He's actually blinking, but he looks asleep. Awwww...

Elphaba

This is more what Elphie is usually like... demanding. "Give me treat!"

Eating her treat. Nom nom nom...

Looking cute again

Just a couple of Glinda left...

Glinda

She has the most expressive face, which makes her very photogenic

Squeee! *melts*

And what she really thinks of this whole photo process. LOL!!

*THE END!!!*

I hope you enjoyed all of these. There are actually a TON more... but I did my best to narrow it down for everybody. Thanks for looking!

Thanks!

We are pretty fond of our house, too. It still needs a lot of work, but the photos were a good start.

Oh wow! Beautiful pictures. I never heard of a sugar glider before. How very interesting and pretty they are. I really like the head tilt one of the cat.....super cute. They're all cute. Great photography! I'm really very impressed. And yes, the house really looks nice with those on the walls.

We had a lot of fun working on that. It was a little frustrating to photograph the sugar gliders, but the few we got turned out pretty nice. They are just so sensitive to light, and so untrainable... I had to use the flash since we were in a dim room, and I was trying not to overdo it for them.

Thank you! I wish I had known about those reflectors beforehand (I had already taken these photos before I started asking questions), because I bet those would have made a big difference in a few of those. Ah well, next time.

The sugar gliders are neat little critters. A lot of work, but a lot of fun, too.

Whitacre's head tilt just makes me smile. Never fails.

Thanks everybody!
