According to the people who called AC...the previous owners tried to breed her, without success.
It seemed like a fluke that she took with this unplanned breeding.
Because....older dogs are more difficult to rehome. Just because you or I take one in doesn't reflect the majority opinion of the population. If I offered the average person the option of adopting the mama or one of the puppies, the average person would adopt one of the puppies.
So you and I are just unusual. And she is okay here. She is a good barker.
