None of these are really recent, but I like them. I don't know if they qualify for "really awesome", but with my limited experience, I am pretty proud of these in particular.
These first four were all taken in May 2008 while on a camping trip:     I have a few more from some different events...

Two from a family vacation in July:
  (I LOVED this photo when I first took it. Now I'm looking back and seeing all sorts of little things I wish I'd done better, but oh well.) And then this one. I'm pretty sure this is the first photo I got out of my new camera that really looked good!  Now I just need to get into some photo editing and really figure out how to make the most of my images.

Took this out of the back of stupid EX's car and then reversed it so you could read it, but its one of my all time favs
 My old house in NY- grandpa built it- I grew up in it  Need I explain why this pic is just awesome?  I just loved this one so much even though it isn't spectacular
