A new start, a clean slate
I'm not exactly new, but I'm going to treat myself as I am.
My name is Tessa. I was once a very loyal member to this forum, and considered it my 'home' due to many wonderful, caring dear people that loved me and did their best to help a bitter, sad, troubled, but good hearted teenage girl that was struggling through a hard home life. I no longer compete with my dogs. Money is a problem (no surprise there, being a college student and all), as well as some time back I was no longer welcome at the former local training club in which I belonged to due to training differences. I also no longer work at the local humane society. I was terminated for some very serious and complex issues, and it is truly sad indeed. I'm still working to improve the shelter and restore it to good practice. And I'm also now currently working at the best local veterinary clinic, whom my dogs are now seeing. And oh, the vet bills! Sadly, I have lost two wonderful dogs, Ginger and Brownie. Their time came too quickly, and I miss them dearly. And I think in my MIA time, is when my sister adopted another dog, an 8 year old english setter. I no longer live at home exactly, although still do claim it as my address. It works out for the best for my mother and I's relationship and my happiness, although sadly my dogs are still currently living there, with me paying for everything. I am now engaged to Dustin, who I once introduced him to this forum as Tewks. I'm near Jacksonville, FL visiting his mother, and it really was just perfect timing with good weather and supporting family. We're considering moving down here with her, depending on when he graduates and what credits of mine will transfer for the veterinary technology courses, general courses, etc. So that's just a breif summary of me and what's happened since I've been gone. So... I just hope I can be welcomed back.

I'm sorry to hear about Brownie and Ginger... ((((((((hugs))))))) Of course, I just have to ask how CoCoa is? And Marq? And whatever became of Spook?   Its good to hear from you, you always learn from the good times, and the bad, and thats something I've always admired about you. Looking forward to seeing you around!
