Maggie's new Christmas present

I got my new Ella's lead today!!! It's awesome! So sturdy and pretty.

Maggie looks unhappy in the pictures, but she WAS extremely happy when I put it on her because she thought it meant WALK! And then I took out her arch enemy, the camera. I was obligated to take her for a short walk in the rain after this torture session.


Looking at the door longingly...


Giving me the cold shoulder.

When I get my NEW camera next week, I'll have a quicker camera, so I'll be able to catch her happy. Especially the first few pics I take, she might not realize it's a camera I have in my hand. I'll have to have Justin take a picture of me giving her a walk sometime... that's when she's the MOST happy.

She is happy, despite what the camera shows. I don't know about progress though. We have people over at our house a lot, and she does okay if they don't get all up in her face and stuff, and eventually she will tolerate certain people petting her if they don't overdo it, but if we're ever around a LOT of people, then she just hides.

She does really like Justin now, though, and she's starting to like my brother's girlfriend too. She works at a zoo and she always has interesting animal smells on her, plus she's just an overall sweet person.

Maggie's definitely my baby girl. She loves me best

Yeah, but some dogs are just like that. My mom's Benji still hides when people are over, and it's just his personality. We've raised him since a puppy and he's just not very social.

Besides, I remember when you first posted you thought Maggie was only happy when she was on walks or with other dogs...she seems pretty happy to have her momma around to play with. And it's great she likes Justin, too.
