You can purchase a book called "Dogs" by Raymond and Lorna Coppinger that explains the specific motor patterns that make a group.

Facts are all very well and good, but how about some real evaluations of the various dog breeds and types out there? For example:
Terriers - small fanged motors Hounds - short horses Pointers - hounds with better PR Retriever - pit bulls with better PR Setters - tall spaniels Spaniels - small, clinging rugs |
