I spoke to her, and she did call animal control today to at least file a report with them. When I questioned her further, this wasn't even an adult but a young teen out walking this dog! And he had NO control over it whatsoever

Such irresponsible people!! I'm glad nothing happened to your friends unborn child, that would have been so sad.

Most definately if you want to take on the responsibility of owning a dog then you need to take the responsiblilty of handling the dog and protecting the community. A dog is indeed a wonderful pet but can turn on a dime.
