New member - hi!
Hi there,
I am really excited about these forums as I am very interested in everything about dogs. I have a desexed 2 year old Chi x girl (Abby) who is teaching me so much about dog ownership. Firstly, in my ignorance I bought from a BYB. Secondly, we have had to get the help of a behaviourist for fear aggression issues. I have learnt so much through this experience (and will continue to because this is an ongoing process) and I have become a 100 times better owner for it. When I got her I had goals of competing in obedience and agility. Whilst I doubt we will ever trial, I attend basic agility training and we have so much fun. Her confidence is growing and so is mine, which I have discovered is crucial to being a strong, calm leader. I have learnt so much about socialisation, dog behaviour, communication and training and the best bit is that I don't thing I'll ever stop learning. It has really become a passion thanks to my girl. So as you can imagine, I am especially interested in training and also the promotion of rescue and ethical registered breeders. I really look forward to getting involved in the forums.
