We lost Torpedo, our tiny little painted turtle tonight. He's not been well since we rescued him out of that dumpy little petshop back in the summer.

Tonight, I guess his poor little body just gave up.

He wasn't even the size of a quarter, but his personality was enormous.

Swim free, my tiny little guy.

So sorry you lost him.

But bless you for pulling him out of that crappy little pet shop. You tried, and at least he had your good care for the time he was able to stay. Because of that, he didn't have to die (likely much earlier) in some crappy pet shop.
