Mine is derived from my old, recently passed Golden/Brittney mix named Amber. She was 18 when we put her down this past year. When she was younger, she used to lie on the grond and let the Chihuahuas run all over her. So, I changed the spelling of "lay" to "leigh" to make it different and that was the birth of my kennel name....Amberleigh. My Border Collie name came from my love of Maine. I wanted something to do with the ocean and the harbors of maine we had visited....HarborMist.

I don't have a kennel, but if I did I would probably call it Nuthouse!

Our foundation stud is Dominus Tiberius. Since I' sure that his bloodlines will be in my pups for generations to come, I felt that vom Dominus ("from" Dominus) would be appropriate.

Plus, it just has a really nice ring to it.

I wanted a kennel name that was relatively short, easy to spell, easy to remember, and not breed specific in case I added a second breed someday. My first name is Robyn and my breed tends to be rather mischievious little "hoolums" so Sherwood fit the bill.
