SEO is easy to learn but takes a lot of time and effort. But I think that's the best way to market your site.

Site Build It
10,000 visitors and the site is only 5 months old. That is great, you must be working hard on it.
As far as monetizing you have the option to sign up for affiliate programs and the like. That seems to be a good start to monetizing a site. Best of luck with the site build it and your websites.
