Okay Bear is looking like a grizzly man with all this hair.
I plan on keeping him in the fuzzy nature as I do not plan on showing him in conformation. But I do want to trim him BUT I do not know where to start... Should I trim his face hair? His hair is ALL in his eyes and he starts scratching at his eyes when his hair gets in them. I already trim his booty hair, as he gets poopy stuck in it sometimes. What else should I trim? Thanks

FYI, it is healthier for the skin/coat to be stripped as this process removes the dead hair, so a lot of people still do it even if they are not showing. If Bear does develope allergies (which is common with Scotties, Westies, Cairns, etc.) I would definately think about stripping VS clipping/trimming.
Heres a good article on pet grooming: http://home.earthlink.net/~jacglen/groom.html http://scottyrescue.org/grooming.html and a good one on stripping: http://www.harborside.com/~laurelt/handstrip.htm (and *cough* since he is just a pet, don't trim his cute ear tufts... I wuvs them )
