what a waste of the legal system....

...but at the same time, it seemed to me like the woman was intentionally walking her dogs in front of the woman's home in that first few feet by the street, out of spite. If yelling at her didn't work, well, she did what she thought would be effective. It is HER property, and if she doesn't want some strange dogs repeatedly peeing and pooping in it, that's her right. An expert said the amount of urine burn would be minimal - but if she doesn't want the dogs peeing in her lawn, and has repeatedly said so, then she shouldn't HAVE to "slap a piece of sod on it." It's just a shame it had to come to that. It's not like it's hard to keep your little dogs on the sidewalk where they belong.

My next door neighbor was mowing half my lawn for a while and it ticked me off severely, not in the least because it made me look like a psycho who couldn't mow the whole lawn. Finally after we got really mad at him (we had said so politely before) he stopped.

lock 'em both up, let them watch a few episodes of sesame street, and see if they can't learn to get along.

If I have to mow my yard all the way to the street, you can bet that I'd consider that whole yard mine. You know if that woman had fallen in that few feet of easement, she would've sued the mess out of the homeowner. I'll tell you, I don't miss suburbia when I hear stories like this.
