If i'm posting something someone else has asked, please redirect me:
That said.... I have one puppy that is awesome in his kennel and doesn't mess it up. The OTHER is another story. I cleaned it out last night and he's peed and pooped in it again toda and unlike most dogs who seem to be adverse to stepping in their own defication... he is not. So now I need to bathe him too. How do you get him to stop it!!!??!?! |

The crate should only be big enough for him to get up and move around and then lay back down. If there is room to pee and poop without him laying in it, the crate is too big.

Also, where did you get him from? If he was from a less than quality place they may have kept him in dirty conditions so it does not bother him anymore or if he is from a pet store he would have become used to going in his crate. Some dogs just do it though.
Make sure the crate is small enough though, like BP said. Also make sure you are cleaning the crate with an enzymatic cleaner so the urine smell is completely destroyed.

If your crate is small enough and you're using an enzymatic cleaner, the next suggestion would be to feed him his meals in the crate. Dogs don't like to potty where they eat, so sometimes this helps. Of course this means feed him, and then let him out of the crate to toilet, don't just leave him in the crate with the food for hours. Also don't leave water in the crate with him.
