I was thinking that to OC, a lot of it seemed really poorly handled.

Then, maybe the filming was by a TV crew for a show like animal precint and thst why he was talking to the camera in the car. Maybe the TV crew (if thats who they were) didn't think they shoudl get involved

I thought all those things, too, OC, but then I remember when Ella slipped out my front door when my son came home from school. And I remember when she bolted across the street and attacked my neighbor's boxer and I remember how it ALL went in slow motion like a bad dream. Seriously. It was like I knew what to do, but it was going so slow and I couldn't move fast enough and my muscles went to crap.

I DID, however, do a stupid thing and grab Ella's mouth and pry her mouth off the other dog. I did NOT get bitten. But she had slipped her collar so I had NO tools to get her off the dog with. It's too hard to pry a mouth off another dog, and pick the dog up before she grabs back on. I did it, BUT not for long because Ella jumped out of my arms. You almost freeze in situations like that sometimes.

It's a horrifying experience and I NEVER EVER want to go through that again. But I now know what my dog is capable of and I have to expect she'd do it again if given the chance, so I take all the necessary precautions so that it DOES NOT happen again.

The more I think about , why was animal control and camera crew there ??? Looks like a set up and that's even more disturbing to me .

I feel really sad and so sorry for the pitts. Hope this video will spread to let dog owners be reminded of dog containments.

that's why it's SO important to carry a parting stick with you, when you own this breed. i typically walk two together, but never without a stick.
...you just never know.... an no doubt i'll be blamed, God forbid, if something happens
and agreed, the dogs should NOT have been pulled apart~that only causes tearing and more damage.
VERY sad, and i feel really bad for that guy. i watched my female scale an 8' fence like it was nobody's business, which is why with "pitbulls" i'm a fan of a good chain set up...
